ASUS unveiled the new version of Fonepad 7, redesigned with thin,light form factor for premium feel and better camera for taking sharper photos. © ASUS The phablet with the model number FE171CG, has Intel Atom Multicore Z2520 processor and 7 inches (1024x600 pixels) display , same with its predecessor, Fonepad 7 (FE170CG). It runs on Android Kitkat but may be updated to Lollipop soon. On the other hand, the previous Fonepad started with Jellybean and been updated to Kitkat at the end of the quarter of 2014. Depending on the region, it has 1/2 GB RAM and 8/16 GB built-in storage option, which can be expanded with up to 64 GB memory card. It has an improved 5/8 MP rear camera and 2 MP front camera with 178 wide viewing angle, compared to the old Fonepad's 2 MP rear and VGA front snapper.
